Manoo Janoo — The Boy from the 80s

Behind the artist name Manoo Janoo is a Swedish multi-composer and DIY artist based in Karlstad — someone who was there when it all happened: the mid-80s, when synth waves rolled in and electronic sounds began reshaping the musical landscape.

He never released any music back then. Now, decades later, the time has finally come.

​

Under the concept “The Boy from the 80s,” Manoo Janoo brings together music written both then and now — a musical journey deeply rooted in the sounds, styles, melodies and spirit of a glorious decade.

​

The journey begins with a double release: Retrospective - Vol I and Jamais Vu – Vol I. These are the first two albums in a series of releases already in the works, featuring songs that explore a wide range of styles and expressions inspired by the fabulous 80s — from synth-driven soundscapes to melodies, ideas and compositions that have been waiting for decades to finally be heard.

And there is plenty more to come.

Manoo Janoo currently has enough material for more than 25 albums, meaning several double releases are planned over time. Each release will open another chapter in a musical archive that has been quietly growing for decades.

 

The music will be released worldwide across all major digital music platforms, with the first releases scheduled for early 2027.
